We make on average 35,000 decisions every day. The number may seem high, but most of our daily decisions are made on autopilot. We form habits, and those habits become our decision defaults.
Our challenge as disciples of Christ is to develop habits that result in holy defaults. We should identify one or two areas at a time where we struggle in making godly decisions. Our awareness is activated when we single out our bad decisions. Then we can begin making conscious choices that are in line with our faith. In time we are able to have those decisions made automatically without thinking about them.
