I want to give you the latest information on my health. The last time I posted, I mentioned that I had an appointment in May to see a specialist about my condition (SSCD). I had that appointment, and I will be having a Middle Fossa Craniotomy to repair the condition (called a dehiscence) on Monday June 27th.
Simply stated, they will be removing a domino-sized section of my skull in order to access this dehiscence. They will then plug that hole with “bone wax” and bits of bone dust obtained when they cut into my skull. They’ll replace the bit of skull, attaching it with two small plates with four screws each. The jaw muscle, which will have to be cut to perform the procedure, will be stitched back together, and they will close me up with stitches and staples.
I’d be lying if I said that I wasn’t at all nervous, but I’m mostly excited. I have been dealing with these issues for a very long time. Symptoms that could have, and perhaps should have, pointed toward a diagnosis were reported to my neurologist, but ignored. I have hope for healing for the first time in a long while.
Recovery varies from person to person. Some find immediate relief, while others slowly recover over the course of a year. I covet your prayers, and hope that I will be able to return to writing soon.
Blessings!
Tim
Sending prayers! God is able to do the long overdue healing, His miracle or that of the surgeon. Praise God that relief is on the way. May the peace of God wash over you and bring comfort as only He can.

Thanks, Mitch. I’m actually sitting in the waiting room to see my surgeon for an 8-week checkup. I’m still having issues, but that was expected. Thanks for checking in!
