About

I am a middle-aged husband and father of two wonderful kids.  I graduated from Evangel University in 1990 with a B.A. in Biblical Studies and a minor in Philosophy.  I enjoy listening to and making music, photography, running and biking.

Discipleship is a 24/7 thing. Yet other things in life demand our focus and attention as well. I want to provide you with questions and thoughts to help you determine where you are spiritually and how you can become more like Jesus. Along the way I will share my own heart, my successes and failures, so that I can encourage your heart. You won’t find legalism here, just an encouragement to grow. I aim to be more in love with Jesus, and more satisfied in Him, each and every day. And I want nothing more than to help you toward the same goal.

This blog will contain articles from many different aspects of life, but it all boils down to discipleship.  Being like Jesus.  Every experience provides us with new and fresh data we can use to make who we are more like who He is. 1 Timothy 1:5 says, “But the goal of our instruction is love from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith” (NASB).

Each week, Skipping Stones looks at a new topic or scripture with the purpose of growing in discipleship. I will be posting every Tuesday, and I hope that you will join me as I seek to become more like Jesus.

Blessings on your faith journey!
